Clarice du Plessis was born in Mpumalanga in 1994 and grew up in Robertson. She holds a doctorate in mechanical engineering from the University of Stellenbosch, and considers the practice of painting an important part of her life; balancing analytical and creative thinking. She has never had formal art training.
