In 2006 after twelve years of painting a variety of subjects, Ann painted her first Ewe painting. The response from the public and galleries owners was overwhelmingly positive and sales grew dramatically. Ann is currently one of the best selling artists in South Africa.
Sheep in their inane conformist lifestyle have much to mirror to us about the human condition. Like sheep we seldom stop to question our life, its purpose and the validity of what we do. Struggling to achieve a stable patch for ourselves and yet being ever threatened by the inevitable tumble downhill, in the repetitive conformism of our lives, sheep become icons for our own insanity.
Through Ewe, Ann examines the life of you, the observer, and hopes, through humour, to get ewe/you the viewer, to question why you do what you do and push you to challenge your beliefs and understanding of reality.
In 2007 Ann has held 5 exhibitions and has been selected to attend The Florence Biennale.

How to measure
Wrap a string or thin strip op paper around the thickest part of the finger you want to war the ring on. Mark where the paper or string meets and measure the distance in millimetres – this is your circumference. Divide the measurement by 3.14 for your universal ring size.
